Also known as "Obedient Plant, Physostegia virginiana has square stems with beautiful white tubular flower spikes and is a perfect choice for the middle of your perennial border in eitherĀ full sun or partial shade.Ā  Flowering in late summer these lovely white flowers almost look a bit like an Antirrhinum or SnapDragon.Ā  A perfect choice for a cut flower as you move the flower stems and they will stay put...just as you have positioned them.Ā  Also available in a beautiful shade of pink - Rose Crown.

A perfect plant choice for a cottage garden, flower beds or for the Flower Farmer for cut flowers.Ā  If using them as a cut flower,Ā be sure to remove the foliage that would be underwater and cut at least 3cm off the bottomĀ and use some flower food if you have it.Ā  KeepĀ the flowers in a cool spot for a couple of hoursĀ before incorporating them into your floral work.Ā  They will also benefit from having their stems recut every couple of days and by doing this you can get up to two weeks out of them.Ā  Can be easily split once established. Loved by bees.
