We find Thalictrum easy to grow and it adds a calming, airy informal mood to the garden.  Multiple tall stems will sway in the breeze and hold beautiful frothy double flowers which seem to float and that will add long lasting summer colour above the ferny foliage.

Often thought of as a cottage garden staple, Thalictrum Hewitts double looks right at home in most planting schemes and they will provide you with a strong architectural presence. Attractive to both bees and butterflies as well as being excellent for cutting, Hewitts Double prefers to be grown in moist, but well drained position and is at home with a bit of morning sun but does not like the hot afternoon sun so is also quite happy in a partially shaded position.

Thalictrum are fully hardy perennials, meaning they will thrive outside with no winter protection required, for you to enjoy for years to come. These stunning plants can be left undisturbed for many years but may require staking due to their willowy growing habit.
